8. Know what you want and don't be late to receive it
Nov 24, 2021You are going through life and all is well, then in an instant it all changed and you were on your knees, feeling lost with no idea how life goes on without your loved one.
Hi, I am Janet Jones, founder of Happiness Millionaire. Welcome to my conversations with my rock on the beach, Sylvia-Rose. She helped me navigate the next chapter of my life, the chapter without my 22-year-old son, Murray. Join these musings about life, grief, and loss with my rock, Sylvia-Rose. Discussing being ready to receive your desire - 22nd of Nov, 2021.
SR - Well, well. You made it!
Jan - Just! The other day I was against the tide and today it was the sun rising!
SR - Yep. Had you not stollen those extra ten minutes in bed, you would have arrived without the rush. You would have enjoyed the journey more.
Jan - It was cold. I guess I chose to stay warm a little longer.
SR - You can’t have everything. By making that choice, you almost missed this beauty. You have to know what you want and do that.
Jan - It wasn’t easy running along the pebbles to get here in time but at least I made it.
SR - I would say that was a risky strategy. You are better being early and waiting for an opportunity than missing an opportunity. The early bird catches the worm!
There is a small caveat to that. If you arrive early for an opportunity, you must then wait with belief that it will happen. Keep your mind focused on what you were expecting. Like the early birds. They expect to catch worms and they do!
SR - I know things don’t always go how you expect them but they always go better than not showing up and taking part. Look at this glorious morning we shared because you decided to make the effort. Most people don’t do that.
Jan - Very true. What about when emotionally it is hard to get out of bed.
SR - Going to bed with a plan for what you will be doing when you wake up programs your mind differently. It prepares you for taking action before you go to sleep. Going to sleep with no idea what tomorrow will start like leads to lethargy. And there is nothing wrong with a little lethargy. This will allow you to heal or give you time to look around and realise how lucky you are to be alive. You all can get too busy rushing around feeling you HAVE to be doing something. Take time out to BE.
Jan - Wise words. So take action towards an opportunity even if it is tempting to take the easy road. Things may not go how you expect but will go better than not taking any action. Thank you. I will take that into my day.
Time to get back for breakfast. See you tomorrow, tide permitting
SR - It was a joy. Thanks for making the effort to visit and see my sun-kissed glow. Have a wonderful day.
Jan - You too. This was definitely worth the effort.
