44. Hold your face in the Sun to help you with another day.
Dec 30, 2023You are going through life and all is well. Instantly, it all changed and you were on your knees, feeling lost with no idea how life goes on without your loved one.
Hi, I am Janet Jones, founder of Happiness Millionaire. Welcome to my conversations with my rock on the beach, Sylvia-Rose. SR - Good morning. How are you doing?
Jan - I am good. I did meditation and yoga again this morning. I couldn’t resist this sunshine and a walk to you.
SR - Yes. Take a seat. Hold your face to the sun. I know it is a little blustery but allow your face to feel the kiss of the breeze. Now grasp that feeling of aliveness. You folk try too hard to be happy. All you need to do is sit in the outdoors and be quiet.
Jan - I know what you mean about being quiet. It is being quiet in the mind that is the challenge.
SR - Yes it is. Chatter. Chatter. Chatter.
Jan - I know. I have had a beautiful walk here but my mind has been chattering a load of rubbish about how I got the past wrong. What I should have done better. How much I want to change things for the future.
SR - There goes that word ‘should’ again. Did your mind ever say anything to you about the present?
Jan - NO! I had to keep pulling it back into the present. It isn’t like I don’t know this. I guess it is a human flaw. Who is doing all this talking anyway?
SR - Maybe thinking is a human flaw
Jan - Maybe it is. I will think about that
SR - Let’s stop talking and sit in the sun together. I will see you tomorrow, or maybe this evening. Nice of you to come and see me in the rain last night.
Jan - Yes. I wanted to get some fresh air before night fell and I automatically walked here
SR - Walking back to Happiness, eh?
Jan - Exactly. It is one of the best things to do. That and inspiring music.
SR - That Sun, Jan.
